Zero maintenance tape system unveiled by igus

Plastics expert, igus has developed a zero-maintenance tape system aimed at the packaging machine building industry. The tribo tape is made from its iglidur A160 material and can be bonded in a variety of ways.

This opens up a wide range of applications when designing sliding surfaces, especially where low friction and wear is essential and can also offer food grade tribo tape for the stringent demands of the industry.

Lars Braun, head of industry management for the packaging industry at igus, said: "Manufacturers of packaging machinery rely upon high-performance components especially where products must be packaged in a time and energy-efficient manner. Machinery has to be designed and manufactured within strict rules and regulations, whilst minimising associated costs, in order to do this we offer individual components as well as complete systems for drive technology."
