Manufacturing & Engineering North East wins Rising Star Award

Manufacturing & Engineering North East has been named as the winner of the Rising Star category at the Exhibition News awards in London. The Newcastle exhibition and conference has now won four industry awards in its opening year

“This is an amazing result for a regional B2B engineering and manufacturing event, we are absolutely delighted,” said Ed Tranter, managing director of organiser MA Exhibitions. “Manufacturing & Engineering North East has broken the mould for what regional UK events should be and we are looking forward to building on its success in 2016 and in the future.”

The show was launched in 2015 to not only champion the UK engineering and manufacturing sector, but also to provide a platform from which to build on the region's successful industrial heritage.

More than 1,300 delegates attended the show in its launch year. Across the two days, new business contacts were established amongst the varied array of exhibitors from machinery, robotics, design and other disciplines. Alongside the exhibition, the line-up of keynote conference speakers and practical workshop sessions instilled and promoted fresh business and design ideas.

Manufacturing & Engineering North East 2016 takes place at the Metro Radio Arena, 6th-7th July and will feature keynote presentations from Hitachi Rail, Newton Aycliffe and Nissan, Sunderland plus many more. Registration is can be done through the website and is free -
