FiberFix tape hardens like steel, is 100x stronger than duct tape

A new product has been launched in the US that is claimed to be 100x stronger than duct tape.

Dubbed FiberFix, the tape bonds to a number of surfaces - including steel and wood - and can be used to fix just about anything.

The product is impregnated with a resin that reportedly 'hardens like steel'. To use it, all you have to do is immerse a length of it in water, wrap it around the broken item in question, and allow it to set.

The company says it takes 24 hours to cure completely, although the solution will start to set in just a couple of minutes.

Once cured, the tape can be sanded or painted, and is completely waterproof.

The product is available in 40 and 60in strips. Prices start from $5.99 (approx. £4).
