Von Roll manufactures a variety of engineering materials for use in both hybrid cars and electric vehicle components. Included amongst these are resins, composites, machined parts, tapes, conductors and much more. Flexible laminates, impregnating resins and wire conductors also feature strongly in a portfolio that has been custom-designed to ensure that OEMs benefit from electric motors that provide lengthy, fault-free service.
Exhibition visitors will also be able to examine and discuss a variety of other vehicle related Von Roll materials, including those designed for battery insulation in electric vehicles. Manufacturers in all sectors, and especially those in the automotive and aerospace industries, remain keen to design-in the highest standards of fire-retardancy and crashworthiness into their products, and some of these specialist Von Roll materials already feature prominently in many such applications.
In addition to the product ranges offered by Von Roll, Engineering Materials Live exhibition visitors will also be able to discover a wider selection of composites, plastics, rapid prototyping, casting and materials machining expertise from a number of other leading participants. The venue at Gaydon is located immediately adjacent to the M40 in Warwickshire, and visitors benefit from easy access, free parking right outside the entrance to the event, free bacon roll and brew if arriving before 1030, and free tea and coffee throughout their stay in the show. Standard adult entry to the museum is £14.50 but is FREE to pre-registered Engineering Materials Live visitors, who can use the opportunity to see at first hand almost 300 exhibits mapping the path of UK automotive design and production since the motor car first appeared on our roads.
