Delivering massive energy pulses

Pulsed power developments and applications are to be discussed at an IET symposium to be held on September 17th to 19th at the Rutherford Appleton Lboratory.

A drinks reception, registration and exhibition will take place on Monday 17 September at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory commencing at 18.30.

The exhibition will continue throughout the following two days.
On Tuesday 18 September 2006 there will be a technical programme at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Chilton commencing with registration and refreshments from 8:30.

There will be a welcome from the Pulsed Power committee and the Laboratory followed by a keynote address by a distinguished speaker and the technical programme of oral and poster presentations. Details of the technical programme will be announced later following the response to the IET's Call for Papers.

The IET is in negotiation with the Diamond Light Source (http://www.diamond.ac.uk/default.htm) facility at this stage to organise a Technical Visit to their facility after the main programme for the day draws to a close. Following this technical visit, there will be a Symposium dinner at the Science and Technology Facilities Council Exhibition facility.

On Wednesday 19 September 2007 there will be an STFC Workshop including an opening address by Sir Robin Saxby, President IET and talks by: Dr Andrew Taylor, Director of Facilities and Head of ISIS, Science and Technology Facilities Council (formerly CCLRC), Dr Richard Walker, Director – Technical Division, Diamond Light Source and Tom Todd, Chief Engineer, UKAEA.
